Provides Safer and Accurate Treatment

Rebecca J. Woodward D.M.D. and Adam S. Kaufman D.M.D. Family Dentistry is a multi-specialty family-owned, professional dental group. We are dedicated to general, family, cosmetic, and pediatric dentistry with services including dental exams, clinical hygiene visits (cleanings), x-rays, teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, orthodontics (braces), dental implants, and more.

3D Scanner

3D dental imaging is used for diagnostic purposes and helps us detect abscesses, cysts, bone loss, and developmental abnormalities (missing or extra teeth). 3D dental scanning allows us to more effectively diagnose a complex dental concern.

Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) to capture and store the digital image on a computer. This image can instantly be viewed and enlarged, helping the dentists and dental hygienists detect problems easier. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.

Intra-Oral Camera

The intra-oral camera broadcasts images for both the patient and doctor to see. Instantaneously, images of your mouth are sent to a computer screen so that both the patient and doctor can review your oral health together. This fantastic newer technology allows you to relax in your chair while simultaneously observing a real-time movie of the inside of your mouth. Your images are magnified beyond standard size on an adjacent computer monitor. Not only does this makes it simple to see and understand what is happening in your mouth, but it makes it simple for us to keep incredibly accurate records from one visit to the next.

Dental Lasers

Our office uses dental laser technology to perform certain dental procedures on oral tissues and gums more comfortably. Using Laser Dentistry for gum procedures reduces bleeding post-operation.

CEREC dentistry

CEREC® technology has revolutionized restorative dental procedures such as crowns, veneers and onlays. Using CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) we now have the ability to design and make your new crown completely in-house. No gooey impressions, no temporary crowns, and it’s complete in one appointment!
